Profile – Doctor. Alexander Solanke
Dr Alexander Solanke is a Malawian public sector management consultant, freelance Writer and politician. Born in 1952 in Nigeria, he attended Imperial College London and Cambridge University, UK where he studied Mathematics, Statistics and Operational Research respectively between 1971 and 76. He was the Chief Executive of the Public Sector Change Management Agency in the Office of the President and Cabinet of Malawi and was the lead consultant in the Civil Service Reform process between 1997 and 2004. Dr Solanke was Chairman of the Fisheries Association of Malawi between 2005 and 2009 and is currently the Secretary-General of the United Transformation Party of Malawi. He is married with 6 Children and 2 grandchildren.
