Mission Statement

“Warm Hearted Connections believes that the world’s poorest countries deserve education of high standards. Because we care about the plight of education, Warm-hearted Connections provides educational supplies and support school programs to needy schools in Sub-Saharan Africa.”

OBJECTIVES

Support from donors and volunteers will help Warm Hearted Connections achieve the following objectives that communicate its vision and management’s philosophies for the start-up projects in Malawi:

1. To reduce rate of absenteeism among students through provision of one meal before classes start in a day for 5 days in a week in elementary schools in the rural areas.
2. To sensitize and equip with knowledge and skills by supplying educational resources, which will help collaboration among parents, guardians, school teachers and community leaders to take leading roles to advocate for better education for students.
3. To increase health and nutritional capacity of the rural poor surrounding areas by equipping students and their parents with knowledge, skills and resources for good nutrition, health and hygiene.
4. To support other organizations to reduce HIV/AIDS prevalence rate from 4.7% by sensitizing students, teachers, parents and community leaders in the surrounding rural areas on the dangers of unprotected sex, and use of needles which cause HIV/AIDS.
5. To place in orphanage centers abandoned and orphaned kids living in the squalor of cities and villages of the country.
6. To maintain enrollment rate of 99% and retention of dropouts by providing educational supplies and better physical school infrastructure to elementary schools in poverty stricken areas of the country.
