Tony Chirwa’s

Tonny is an internationally trained Human Resources generalist who has been trained in USA, India, Kenya, South Africa and Malawi. He is a descendant of Malawi but currently based in the USA and is a current member of The Institute of People Management Malawi. His area of interest includes, but not limited to Performance Management, Talent Management, L&D, HR Planning, Policy planning and Development. He has over 15 years experience in leadership.

Tonny has experience in banking sector, Construction Sector, Production Sector, NGO’s and the pubic sector in Malawi as well as the USA. He is currently writing a book entitled, An Employee’s Value Chain: A Guide To HR Managers in Malawi.

He is also involved in civic engagements and serves as Vice Chairperson for the Association of Malawians in the United States (Mphamvu MuUmodzi). Tonny also seats on the board of Warm Hearted Connections Inc., an international nonprofit organization that mobilizes resources for vulnerable children in Sub Saharan Africa to help them access quality education.

Tonny holds a masters degree in Human Resource Planning and Development and a Bachelor of Arts (Human Resources and English) from the University of Malawi. Currently he is studying for a PhD in Human Resources.

He is a passionate soccer lover and reader. He believes in positive networking through social interaction and is an active volleyball player.
